A Resounding YES for Colmore Business District
Businesses in the Colmore Row area have been casting their votes over the past few weeks on the proposal to establish a Business Improvement District in the area. Of all those who voted, a resounding 90.1% were in favour of the BID being formed. The BID – sponsored by Birmingham Forward, Birmingham Future and the Birmingham City Centre Partnership – will form an independent company on 1st April this year. Rallying for the Auto Sector

Urban project managed the Auto Industry Summit, which took place on Tuesday 3rd January at the ICC Birmingham, as part of Birmingham Post campaign to save Jaguar Land Rover. Sponsored by Marketing Birmingham, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce & Industry, BPM Media, Birmingham City Council and the NEC Group, near;y 200 delegates attended the event despite snowy weather conditions. Birmingham International Airport extension plans approved (for the most parts)
A unanimous decision was made at the Solihull Council Planning Sub-Committee meeting held on 15th December approving the proposed Birmingham International Airport runway extension plans. The expanded airport capacity is essential for the economic growth of our region – in particular reaching growing markets in the US, Indian sub-continent and Pacific Rim.
